According to the nutritionist, a serving of 420 to 600 mg of silymarin per day, combined with vitamin E, gives the best results.

3. N-acetylcysteine (NAC)
This is an amino acid that replenishes the glutathione content in the liver. Glutathione helps neutralize drugs and toxins. Makhija recommends a dose of 600 to 1800 NAC per day. But this supplement should only be taken for fatty liver disease after consulting a doctor.
